Jones Race 1: RISING SUN HONDA QTIS CLASS 2 PLATE 1000m SERIOUSLY HAPPY – Reared at start losing ground. SCRIPTS – On returning to scale Jockey T Brummell advised Stewards that his barrier gates may have been marginally slow to open as the start was effected. After viewing the patrol footage Stewards were satisfied that SCRIPTS had not been materially disadvantaged, but nonetheless, instructed Starter Mr D. Jones to re-test the barriers prior to Race 2. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a minor laceration to the upper lip. NITRO CITY - Raced wide for the majority. HUNTING – Raced wide for the majority. Race 2: COLEMAN’S STOCK FEED CLASS 6 PLATE 1200m ARCHADE – Slowly away. Raced wide in the early and middle stages. GREY SAMBUCCA – Raced in restricted room in the early stages. LEICA CELEBRE – Proved fractious in its preliminary. Trainer Ms T. Parry was advised a warning would be placed on the mare’s pre-race manners. Race 3: HASTINGS DEERING RATINGS 0 - 60 HANDICAP 1200mMAKE HER OWN WHEY – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced wide in the early and middle stages. INCISION – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced wide in the early stages. BLOSSOM – Slowly away. GOING GREY – Raced wide for the majority. FLYING DUBAI – Restrained off heels when racing in restricted room soon after the start. MAGIC GLOW – A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor post-race recovery. Race 4: RABOBANK BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1400m MARY’S GIRL – Made contact with mounting yard gate on entering the track. Veterinary examination at the barriers revealed no abnormalities and was passed fit to start. Was inclined to over-race in the early stages. ROCK TSAR – Slowly away. ISLAND BAR – Stood flat-footed as the start was effected losing ground. THIS GIRL’S ON FIRE – Was inclined to hang out in the early stages. ENTERPRISE ROSIE – Soon after the start was taken wider on the track by another runner. TRY BEFORE DUBAI – Raced wide for the majority. EDEN ROAD – Raced wide in the early stages. CRYSTAL BEAR - Raced wide in the early stages. DUTTON BAY – Jockey J. Babarovich was reprimanded under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) for excessive use of the whip prior to the 100m. Race 5: CHARTERS TOWERS TOYOTA – ROTARY 2019 OUTBACK RACING SHOWCASE OPEN HANDICAP - FINAL 1400mGOOD JOB BRO – Slowly away. Was hampered shortly after the start. UNDER THE WEATHER – Shifted outwards on jumping. SLITHERING SUZIE – Shifted outwards on jumping. Raced wide in early and middle stages.
