FINE TRACK:.FASTGENERAL: John Wigginton was fined the sum of $25 for an infringement of AR140A in that he presented KULA SHAKER in incorrect gear in the first event at Rockhampton Friday 14th July, 2000.RACING:RACE 1 SPECIAL CONDITIONS HCP, 1800 METRES - (5 STARTERS): The start was delayed due to the Qld ambulance service vehicle having mechanical difficulties. The advertised starting time was amended to read 12.33pm.Due to STRONGARM (J. Stephens) becoming difficult to load the start was further delayed.As the gates opened HOT DOGMA (N. Evans) threw its head in the air.Approaching the 800 metres ROSE OF ARAWATTA (J. Piper) had to be steadied off the heels of STRONGARM which resulted in CROSSBRED (M. Goodwin) having to be eased off the heels of ROSE OF ARAWATTA.Approaching the 650 metres CROSSBRED was crowded as a result of HOT DOGMA shifting in and CRUNCHTIME (S. Brown) shifting out.CROSSBRED (M. Goodwin) failed to obtain clear running over the concluding stages.RACE 2 MAIDEN HCP, 1100 METRES - (12 STARTERS): At the start SHAZZA’S PRIDE (D. Lloyd) was slow to begin.AL SHARLEE (A. Pattillo) was slow to begin.GEORDINA (P. Moodie) and TAZ A BELLA (D. Evans) brushed on jumping resulting in TAZ A BELLA being forced inwards making contact with CANTUS (J. Piper).Approaching the 900 metres AL SHARLEE had to be steadied when placed in restricted running to the inside of GEORDINA. P. Moodie rider of GEORDINA was advised by stewards to exercise care when placed in similar situations.Passing the 300 metres TAZ A BELLA and SPITELY STYLE bumped on several occasions.Approaching the 200 metre TILBA ROSE was obliged to alter course when disappointed for a run.RACE 3 CLASS 4 HCP, 1100 METRES - (12 STARTERS): HOST was slow to begin.On jumping COUNTY JET (C. Beets) and RIO PARK (S. Brown) bumped.Approaching the 700 metre BARN DANCE (P. Moodie) commenced to race fiercely.E. Heinemann rider of HOST was advised to exercise better judgement with regards to the use of the whip.Approaching the 200 metres Scott Brown was obliged to stop riding on RIO PARK when slightly hampered by HOST (E. Heinemann) which was inclined to shift out under pressure.Scott Brown rider of RIO PARK was advised to exercise more care with regards to the use of the whip.C Beets, rider of County Jet was fined the sum of $25 for failing to weigh in for fifth.RACE 4 CLASS 2 HCP, 1000 METRES - (9 STARTERS): INTREPITY (T. Williams) jumped awkwardly.L. Roberts rider of BARON KITH was obliged to alter course when improving quickly, which resulted in SOVEREIGN CHALICE (J. Piper) which was racing to his outside, being forced wider on the track.RACE 5 CLASS 6 HCP,1000 METRES - (9 STARTERS): Approaching the 700 metres MANAKWILA (P. Moodie) which was over racing shifted in crowding MISS SHINE (D. Whitmore) which in turn hampered JUST KEN (N. Evans).N Evans, rider of Miss Doncour was fined the sum of $25 for failing to weigh in for fifth.RACE 6 2YO HCP, 1200 METRES - (13 STARTERS): OCTOBER BLAZE (P. Moodie) threw its head in the air as the gates opened and as a result was slow to begin.No further racing incidents to report..RACE 7 OPEN HCP, 1200 METRES - (10 STARTERS): Approaching the 200 metres GUY (D. Johnston) made contact with OUT OF THE RED (D. Lloyd).Over the concluding stages GUY shifted out under pressure and slightly hampered OUT OF THE RED.RACE 8 CLASS 4 HCP, 1400 METRES - (13 STARTERS): CAUGHT ME (A. Pattillo) jumped outwards making contact with DARK EYED LADY (D. Johnston) which in turn was crowded by JET SET (D. Evans) which was slightly hampered by RANCHALL which jumped outwards.EDGED IN BLACK jumped outwards forcing FIESAL out and in turn received pressure from CARRARA LAD which jumped inwards at the start.Approaching the 350 metres J. Piper rider of CARRARA LAD dropped his whip.Approaching the 250 metres IMPERIAL ORDER (N. Evans) was obliged to alter course due to FIESAL (M. Goodwin) shifting ground under pressure.BOOKMAKERS: 2 bookmakers fielded at the race meeting.SWABBING: All winners were sent to be swabbed and the samples collected were forwarded to the Racing Science Centre for routine analysis.
