Race 1: Goody’s Earthmoving Pty Ltd BenchMark 70 Handicap - 1300 metres
1st EL CAPO 2nd MAMSELLE CORDAY 3rd DARK ANGEL 4th - HALFBLOOD PRINCE

EVENTIDE - Slow into stride, shifted out and lost more ground.

DARK ANGEL - Raced ungenerously in the early stages.

MAMSELLE CORDAY - Raced keenly in the early stages.

EL CAPO - Jockey J. P. Stanley advised stewards that it had not been his intention to lead, however after beginning well the gelding found the lead of its own accord.

Race 2: City Printing Works Open Handicap - 1050 metres
1st WINGED WARRIOR 2nd CYCLONE KAN 3rd TOP ROYAL 4th - LANSDOWNE ROAD

TERMS OF TRADE - As Jockey R. McMahon was ill and unable to fulfil his engagement, Jockey J. Stephens was substituted as the rider of the gelding.

LANSDOWNE ROAD - Began awkwardly and lost some ground.

WINGED WARRIOR - Slow to begin. Near the 400 metres was inclined to lay in behind another runner and was able to obtain clear running near the 200 metres.

TOP ROYAL - Slow to begin.

Race 3: XXXX Gold QTIS 2-Y-O Maiden Handicap - 1050 metres
1st ISIS AMBER 2nd I'MNOTABAY 3rd CELESTIAL SON 4th - TINTO ELEMENTO

CRAIGLEA PERSIAN - As Jockey A. Allen was unable to arrive on course by Race 3, Jockey D. Hayse was substituted as the rider of the filly.

I'MNOTABAY - As Jockey R. McMahon was ill and no senior rider was available to ride the filly at its allotted weight, Apprentice K. Aho was substituted. Laid out in the early part of the home straight. Raced wide without cover throughout.

Apprentice K. Aho pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under A.R. 137(a), in that near the 200 metres she allowed I'MNOTABAY to shift in, and caused MANY CLOUDS to be tightened for room and lose its rightful running. Apprentice Aho was suspended from riding in races for a period of 8 days, to commence at midnight on 30th April 2016, up until 8th May 2016.

HAYYLER'S TARY - The saddle slipped forward on jumping, placing Apprentice N. Vuille at a disadvantage throughout.

TINTO ELEMENTO- At the start, bumped MANY CLOUDS and shifted out onto CELESTIAL SON and was buffeted between runners and lost ground.

NEON MAGIC- Raced wide without cover throughout.

CRAIGLEA PERSIAN and CAPE HALIFAX - Raced wide with cover throughout.

ISIS AMBER - Shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.

Race 4: RGS Raceday- Sat 7 May BenchMark 65 Handicap - 1809 metres
1st FASTNET FLYER 2nd PRESSUM 3rd LOGICAL OUTCOME 4th - AHMAH STAR

LOGICAL OUTCOME- As Jockey A. Allan was unable to arrive on course for Race 4, Apprentice B. Grylls was substituted.

FASTNET FLYER - Was a little slow to begin.

AHMAH STAR - Raced wide with no cover throughout.

Jockey S. Sheargold was found guilty of a charge under A.R. 137(d) in that approaching the 1400 metres he excessively slowed the speed of POINT LEO, and caused interference to GO AS YOU PLEASE (Jockey J. Stephens), which was obliged to check and which resulted LOGICAL OUTCOME (Apprentice B. Grylls) being hampered and shifted out onto the heels of GO AS YOU PLEASE. Jockey Sheargold was suspended from riding in races to a period of 11 days, to commence at midnight on 30th April 2016, up until midnight on 11th May 2016,

Race 5: Congratulations Robo’s Group Maiden Handicap - 1100 metres
1st ZIZA SPIRIT 2nd - CAPTAIN ADRIATIC 3rd THAT PRETTY GIRL 4th - CELTIC SPELL

CELTIC SPELL - As Jockey R. McMahon was ill and unable to fulfil his engagement, Jockey J. Stephens was substituted. Slow to begin.

GRAND HOTEL - After being placed in the barriers became fractious, was removed from the gates, examined by the Club's veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field.

CAPTAIN ADRIATIC - After being placed in the barriers got its near foreleg over the barrier partition, was removed from the barriers, examined by the Club's veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field.

TRIGGER LAD - Slow to begin.

CAREFILLY - Slow to begin.

Near the 900 metres ITHAKOS (Jockey N. Day) lay in and away from a runner to its outside, which took GRAND HOTEL (Apprentice N. Summers) and RESET EXPRESS (Jockey J. P. Stanley) inwards and tightened the running of CAREFILLY (Apprentice B. Grylls). A short distance later NOVA PRIME (Apprentice Z. White) shied away from a runner to its outside, brushed the running rail, became unbalanced and took a number of awkward strides. RESET EXPRESS, which was following, shifted out and clipped the heels of GRAND HOTEL.MISS SATINE (Apprentice Q. Krogh) steadied from the heels of RESET EXPRESS.

LI'L BIT GREEDY - Raced wide without cover throughout.

RESET EXTRESS - On returning to scale Jockey J. P. Stanley reported that after suffering interference his mount failed to travel and when placed under pressure in the home straight failed to respond. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had sustained a small laceration to the off foreleg.

GREEN BANANAS – Raced wide with cover throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the mare had pulled a pre-pubic muscle and was treated. Trainer T. Simmons would be advised that she must provide a veterinary clearance prior to the mare being permitted to race again.

Race 6: 2016 XXXX Winter Carnival - Coming Soon Class 2 Handicap - 1100 metres
1st - NINETTE KAN - 2nd SHANDIEN - 3rd - THE GIRLS IN PARIS 4th - COURTZIG

WAR NOISE - After being placed in the barriers got its head down, was removed from the barriers, examined by the Veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field.

CUBAN SONG - Slow to begin.

MISS HOFFA - Raced wide without cover throughout.

COURTZIG - Near the 200 metres stepped in and caused THE GIRLS IN PARIS to become awkwardly placed on the heels of SHANDIEN.

Race 7: Hahn 3.5 Benchmark 60 Handicap - 1500 metres
1st - ELLE THE MODEL 2nd - MISTY MONTANA 3rd - ALPINTORO 4th - ELOVACHILL

BILO BAR - As Jockey R. McMahon was ill and unable to fulfil his engagement, Jockey D. Evans was substituted. Raced wide without cover throughout. Near the 900 metres laid in over the heels of QUEEN CAESAR and had to be steadied.

PRICELESS HEART - Slow to begin.

ELLE THE MODEL - Slow to begin.

KING'S A STAR - Slow to begin.

ONE MORE CHANCE - Raced wide without cover for the majority of the event.

PUNTERS JOURNEY - Raced wide with cover throughout. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
