Stewards took into account her good record in relation to the rule.FELIX BAY - When questioned regarding the performance Apprentice Grylls stated that she was instructed to take up a position where the gelding was comfortable. She said that she was able to obtain a position at the rear of the field and despite putting her mount under pressure from the 800 metres, it was nevertheless disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Connections indicated that the gelding will now be sent for a spell.Race 2: JCL Fabrication & Welding QTIS 2YO Handicap - 1200 metres 1st MISHANI SHIRAZ 2nd PERSISTENT SHADOW 3rd CRAIGLEA ODYSSEY 4th - PARTY PARDEEVIRGIN TERRITORY - Began awkwardly and shifted out, taking CRAIGLEA ODYSSEY out onto MISHANI SHIRAZ. Race 3: JCL Machining, Boring & Milling Maiden Plate - 1300 metres 1st CAPTAIN ADRIATIC 2nd NORUDDER NOCOMPASS 3rd TICATIME 4th - MISS SATINEThe declaration of correct weight was delayed while stewards considered an objection lodged by Mr J Rideout, the trainer of MISS SATINE which finished 4th, against TICATIME being declared 3rd, alleging interference near the 500 metres. After taking evidence from the parties involved, viewing the official video films and acting on their own observations, stewards established that near the 500 metres TICATIME (Jockey M. Hellyer) shifted out and made contact with MISS SATINE (Apprentice N. Summers), then approaching the 200 metres TICATIME shifted out abruptly, causing its rider to stop and straighten and MISS SATINE to be eased and alter course. However, stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that these incidents warranted a reversal of the placings, given the margin of 3/4 of a length between the two horses at the finish. Accordingly, the protest was dismissed and the placings ordered to stand.
