NELAMOS- When positioned behind TOP ROYAL, also over-raced in the early stages.HALFBLOOD PRINCE - As Jockey A. Butler dismounted on pulling up prior to returning to the enclosure and was unable to be weighed in due to requiring medical attention, Stewards acting under A.R. 142 were able to ascertain that he had weighed out correctly and correct weight was declared. Jockey Butler was advised that he must provide a medical clearance before he is permitted to ride again.Race 3: Duggan Livestock & Bulk Haulage Jordon TPT Services Class 3 Plate - 1600 metres 1st BOLD AVENUE 2nd TREMONT 3rd TIP RAT 4th - ROCKCHESTAStewards considered an objection lodged by Jockey N Day (ROCKCHESTA) which finished 4th, against TREMONT (Apprentice Q. Krogh) being declared 2nd, alleging interference over the concluding stages. After taking evidence from the parties involved, viewing the official patrol videos and acting on their own observations, Stewards established that TREMONT had shifted in and caused ROCKCHESTA to be crowded for room. However, bearing in mind the margin of a long neck between the runners at the finish, they could not be satisfied that it had detrimentally affected the placings, and consequently the protest was dismissed and the judge's placings ordered to stand. Apprentice Krogh was advised to stop riding and straighten in similar circumstances.HYPER DRIVE - After arriving behind the barriers reared and slipped over. The mare was examined by the Club's veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field. Began awkwardly, was slow to begin and lost ground. In the circumstances, a warning was placed on the mare.TIP RAT - Made contact with another runner on jumping. AUSTRALIAN VENTURE - Made contact with another runner on jumping. In the early stages was restrained from the heels of FUKU RIU, then raced wide from the 900 metres.FUKU RIU - Over-raced in the early and middle stages.Race 4: BP South Rockhampton Class 4 Handicap - 1200 metres 1st FLIGHT ACADEMY 2nd HUNCHA DUNCHA 3rd CWMBRAN 4th - JEWELLERY THIEFRACECRAFT - The explanation tendered by trainer Z. Hohn for the late declaration of Apprentice B. Grylls was accepted. Slow to begin. Bled from both nostrils. Trainer Z. Hohn was advised that, as this was the first time the gelding had bled it will be barred from racing for 3 months under A.R. 53A, and then only after a satisfactory gallop of at least 1000 metres in the presence of a steward.CWMBRAH - Slow to begin. Shifted in under pressure over the final stages. Raced wide without cover throughout.MADAM PINK - On jumping shifted in onto another runner.HAMILTON- When another runner shifted in on jumping, became unbalanced.HUNCHA DUNCHA - Bled from both nostrils. Trainer D. Rideout was advised that, as this was the first time the gelding had bled, it will be barred from racing for 3 months under A.R. 53A, and then only after a satisfactory gallop of at least 1000 metres in the presence of a steward.Race 5: Scottish Pacific Debtor Finance Class 1 Handicap - 1050 metres 1st SOLO SOPRANO 2nd - WORTH THE TIME 3rd DENNIS DENUTO 4th - GOODNESS GRACIOUS MARKED FOREVER – Trainer N McCall was fined $100 for late declaration of N Day as the rider. Raced wide with cover.PERIPHERAL - Slow to begin.GOODNESS GRACIOUS - For a short distance near the 350 metres was held up and was shifted out to obtain clear running.DIVA MISS - Raced wide without cover throughout.DENNIS DENUTO - Raced wide with cover throughout. Apprentice Q. Krogh was fined $200 under A.R. 137A for using his whip on the gelding on 2 occasions more than is permitted under the rule.SOLO SOPRANO - When questioned regarding the apparent improved performance of the gelding, trainer L. Rowe said that the gelding started from the outside barrier and when there was no pace in the race, he instructed Apprentice L. Tilley to take up a position at the rear of the field. He said that he had no other tangible explanation for the improved performance. Apprentice L. Tilly was fined $100 for using his whip on the gelding 1 more time than is permitted under A.R. 137A.Race 6: DLV Finance Tattersalls Gold Cup Open Handicap - 1600 metres 1st- COLOUR CHARGE 2nd - FASTNET FLYER 3rd - MAMSELLE CORDAY 4th - WALK TO THE BARHOSTILE OWNERS - Began awkwardly.OGGIE - Made contact with another runner on jumping.
