Race 1: Almost Anything Web and Graphic Design Maiden Handicap - 1300 metres

SUPER RISING - Slow to begin.
 
TABITHA MAGIC - Slow to begin.
 
DYNAMIC EMBRACE - Slow to begin.
 
Jockey N. Day was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under A.R. 137(a) in that near the 1200 metres he permitted ROMANOV to shift in when not sufficiently clear of LET ME SAY THIS (Apprentice N. Summers), resulting in that horse being taken in and causing DUAN DUBAI (Jockey M. Barnham) to be taken in across the heels of CAPELLA GIRL (Jockey J. Stanley). Jockey Day’s licence was suspended from riding in races for a period of 10 days to commence at midnight on Saturday 17th September 2016, up to and including 27th September 2016
 
CAPELLA GIRL - Made contact with another runner at the start. Laid in from the 400 metres.
 
ROMANOV - Near the 600 metres bumped LET ME SAY THIS (Apprentice N. Summers).
 
DUAN DUBAI - Contacted by another runner at the start.
 
MISS RICH - For a short distance near the 900 metres raced ungenerously  and raced wide without cover throughout.
 
LET ME SAY THIS - Raced wide with cover.
 
Race 2: Phil Peel Leading Edge Jewellers Class 3 Handicap- 1100 metres  
1st - DUAN MAJOR 2nd - ESPRIT LIGHT 3rd - COURTZIG   4th - THAT PRETTY GIRL
 
SUPERIOR DRAGON - Was a late scratching, at 7.57 a.m., when it was found to have an elevated temperature.
 
STYLISH LUCK - Slow into stride. Jockey D. Simmons reported that his mount laid out on the home turn.
 
THAT PRETTY GIRL - Lost its near fore plate in running.   Apprentice R. Payne reported that in the straight her mount was inclined to lay in.
 
Race 3: Mick Munns Memorial QTIS Maiden Handicap - 1050 metres  
1st - KING TORIO 2nd - GIDGEE COALS 3rd -   OUR INVESTMENT 4th - TERETTO
 
GLORY ACCOUNT - Jumped out at the start and made contact with DUAN DUNROAMIN.
 
I TRUST LAYLA - At the start jumped out, made contact with GIDGEE COALS and lost ground. Apprentice J. Hodge was reprimanded for using his whip on the filly 4 times more than permitted under A.R. 137A. Stewards took into account that this was his first offence under the rule.
 
LADY STIRLING - Laid in near the 400 metres. Raced wide without cover.
 
KING TORIO - Slow to begin.
 
TERETTO - Over-raced and raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages.
 
Race 4: Hamilton CQ Painting BenchMark 65 Handicap - 1200 metres
1st  -  GYPSY SECRET  2nd  -  RIGHTONCUE  3rd  -  DIAMOND RACER  4th  -  CHEERING
 
ISN'T HE A BEAUTY - Slow to begin.
 
RIGHTONCUE - Slow to begin. Unable to obtain clear running until near the 400 metres.
 
ATARATZI - Over-raced until near the 900 metres.
 
DIAMOND RACER - Shifted out under pressure from the 200 metres.
 
 
Race 5: Stage and Audio Class 6 Plate - 1200 metres   
1st  -  MAMSELLE CORDAY 2nd  -  MACHO TYCOON  3rd  -  EL CAPO  4th  -  METEOROS  
 
HEARTBREAK HARRY - Slow to begin. Raced wide with cover.
 
CHLORIDE - Slow to begin.
 
METEOROS - Blundered on jumping. Lost its off hind plate in running.
 
YOU DID WHAT - Pulled hard in the early stages and raced wide without cover throughout.
 
MACHO TYCOON - Near the 200 metres shifted out under pressure., resulting in WILDEBEAST being taken out and causing HEARTBREAK HARRY to be eased.
 
Jockey N. Day and trainer G. Bell were questioned with regard to MAMSELLE CORDAY leading in today's event. Ms Bell stated that no specific instructions were issued to Jockey Day, however if the horse was to race in the field he should pressure the mare and take up a forward position. Jockey Day said that the horse had been freshened up and that he placed the horse under pressure in the early stages and whilst he had not expected to lead, once his mount settled it raced comfortably.
 
Race 6: Korte’s Resort Class 1 Handicap - 1300 metres
1st - LUCIFER’S ANGEL 2nd - CORNISH TALES 3rd- SAINTLY PRO 4th - MONTANA HERO  

BAR STORIES - Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
TRIGGER LAD - Slow to begin.
 
LUCIFER'S ANGEL - Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
THE CLANG AFFAIR - Raced wide with cover.
 
Near the 500 metres FONDUE (Jockey J. Missen) shifted out slightly, taking TRIGGER LAD (Jockey D. Simmons) out onto BELLEVUE AVENUE (Jockey A. Coome).
 
CORNISH TALES- Lay in from the 400 metres, shifted in and hampered BELLEVUE AVENUE near the 150 metres.
 
Race 7: Goody’s Earthmoving Pty Ltd Ratings Band 0-55 Handicap - 1050 metres
1st - CLOSE THE BEACHES 2nd - WHISKEY LAD 3rd-   GIVEN WINGS 4th - COURT LANE
 
COURT LANE - Slow into stride.
 
SAMMY SPARROW - Reared as the start was effected and dislodged Jockey S. Sheargold. Trainer T. Button was told that he must obtain a further barrier certificate before the gelding will be permitted to race again. Near the 400 metres the riderless horse shifted in and caused MYSTIC LAD and MISS CHARISMA to be hampered to varying degrees.
 
MYSTIC LAD - Took a number of awkward strides shortly after the start. A warning will be placed on the horse's racing manners. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
PENNYCALAINE - Began awkwardly.
 
OUTBACK PIRATE - Near the 200 metres laid in across the heels of STIRLING GIRL which shifted out.
