SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS

Trainer D. Schultz was fined $200 under LR 43 for having an unlicensed stablehand in his employ during a stable inspection at Gladstone on Saturday 20th August 2016.

Rockhampton 1st September 2016: Race 6: AMG GTS BenchMark 55 Handicap:

Trainer J. McConachy was fined $200 for presenting TREMONT to race without blinkers, part of its approved gear.

Thangool 10th September 2016:

Race 6: SILENT GEE. Trainer C. Garland was reprimanded for failing to scratch the horse by the required time.

Springsure: 17th September 2016: Race 3

Apprentice D. Evans (BLUBYTWO) was fined $200 under A.R. 137A for using his whip on the horse 5 more times than permitted under the rule, some of which were in consecutive strides. In assessing penalty stewards took into account that this was the first time Apprentice Evans has ridden under the amended rules after a significant period time off from injury.

Race 1: Butler Partners (Regional Pty Ltd) QTIS 3YO Handicap - 1300 metres

1st QUICK AND EASY 2nd MISTA BUSY 3rd BAUHINIA SID 4th - CRAIGLEA GHETTO

PERSISTENT SHADOW - A pre-race swab sample was taken from the filly. Slow to begin and was placed under significant pressure in the early stages when racing at the rear of the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery rate, but no other abnormality. Jockey Day was of the opinion that the filly had come to the end of its preparation. Trainer L. Wanless advised stewards that he would give the horse approximately 6 weeks break.

MISTA BUSY - The start was delayed 2 minutes whilst the bridle had to be re-adjusted.

BAUHINIA SID - Jockey J. P. Stanley reported that his mount was under pressure from the 400 metres and failed to run on as expected. Stewards will follow the matter up with trainer M. Tremble.

Race 2: Robo’s Tyre Group Class 4 Handicap - 1400 metres

1st STYLISH LUCK 2nd MACHO TYCOON 3rd COLD BLOODED 4th - CAMPANOLOGY

CHEERING - When Apprentice L. Attard was to be overweight, Apprentice Z. White was substituted. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

STYLISH LUCK - Slow to begin, then raced 3 wide without cover.

SOLO SOPRANO - As Apprentice L. Tilley was not riding at the meeting, Apprentice C. Jokic was substituted. Over-raced in the early stages.

Race 3: J and C Legh Engineering Maiden Handicap - 1050 metres

1st DECALI 2nd MISS RICH 3rd HELLUVA HOFFA 4th - CAPE HALIFAX

HELLUVA HOFFA - Slow to begin, then was held up from approximately the 350 metres until near the 200 metres, when awkwardly placed on the heels of UPSEL and shifted in to obtain clear running.

GRIAULE - Slow to begin. Near the 800 metres commenced to race ungenerously. Near the 600 metres, when continuing to race ungenerously, was awkwardly placed on the heels of PERFUME PASSION (Jockey C. McIver).

Near the 900 metres when UPSET (N. Day) assumed the lead, PIECE OF MAGIC (J. Taylor had to be eased from its heels. CAPE HALIFAX (J. Stephens), which was following, was also eased.

BOLD TRAVELLER and MISS RICH made contact on jumping.

GLADISHING - Raced wide with cover.

At the start QUIET REFLECTION (Jockey D. Simmons) was tightened for room between BAYSIDE BANDIT (Apprentice R. Payne), and raced without cover.

Race 4: Bill Reid Racing Open Handicap - 1200 metres

1st MAMSELLE CORDAY 2nd EMBRACE THE PAIN 3rd MISTER BOOZE 4th - SMART PATROL

DELAGOS - Raced at Springsure on Saturday 17th September where it was beaten 10.3 lengths. Public announcements were made advising patrons. Slow to begin.

EMBRACE THE PAIN - Shifted in shortly after the start, which resulted in HALFBLOOD PRINCE being eased.

1st CLAIM THE THRONE 2nd PULSAR 3rd PERFECTLY ALIGNED 4th - OZEIN

OZEIN - On returning to scale Apprentice N. Summers reported that her mount laid in from the 400 metres and was unable to be ridden out in its usual manner.

PULSAR- Trainer T Cook reported that the gelding had been galloped on the off hind and had been treated.

RIGHTONCUE- Apprentice L Attard reported he was disappointed with the performance of the gelding. He further stated, from the inside barrier, he wanted to take up a handy position and did not want to race behind DIAMOND RACER so held his position to its inside. He advised that the horse may now be sent for a spell. Stewards will follow up with Trainer M Attard.

Race 6: XXXX Class 3 Plate - 1200 metres

1st HOYWEDGE 2nd COURT LANE 3rd GODAVARI 4th - FRENCH HUSSLER

PEGUNNY KID - Was fractious in the barriers, was examined by the Club's veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field. At the start shifted out onto RED RADA.

RED RADA - Raced wide with cover. Near the 400 metres laid in and hampered FONDUE (Jockey A. Taylor), then in the home straight continued to lay in. Trainer W. Weeks will experiment with the horse's gear.

CRAIGLEA ALTISE - Slow to begin.

METEOR'S MAN - Began awkwardly.

COURT LANE - Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.

EXSTRATUM - Raced wide with cover.

HOYWEDGE - Began awkwardly.

FONDUE - Shifted out at the start and made contact with FRENCH HUSSLER.

ESPRIT LIGHT - Raced wide without cover throughout.

GODAVARI- Rider dropped whip near the 200 metres.

Race 7: Ray White Rockhampton City Melbourne Cup - Tue 1 November Class 1 Handicap - 1050 metres

1st IMPERIAL ATTITUDE 2nd WORTH THE TIME 3rd BEST HURRAH 4th - THE TEENY HASS

As Apprentice L. Attard, the declared rider of THE TEENY HASS, was to be overweight, Apprentice Q. Krogh was substituted. Apprentice Attard was fined a total of $200 under A.R. 120(b) in respect of being overweight in Race 2 and Race 7.

The start was delayed by approximately 3 minutes when HIDDEN ABILITY (Jockey N. Day) and DYNAMIC DRAGON (Jockey D. Evans) were difficult to load. Both will be required to obtain a further barrier certificate before being permitted to race again.

DYNAMIC DRAGON - Began awkwardly and made contact with ITTY GITTY, which lost some ground.

HIDDEN ABILITY - Began awkwardly.

NOCK WITH YA ELBOW - Raced wide with cover throughout. Laid in under pressure for the majority of the straight.

IMPERIAL ATTITUDE- Raced wide with cover. Lay in under pressure for the majority of the straight.
