Race 1: Ray White Rockhampton City Normie Fox Memorial Maiden Plate-  1050 metres
1st- DIPPED IN GOLD 2nd- LIGHTNING ARTIST 3rd- POR UNA CABEZA 4th- CHILLI CON CARNE
 
RUN BABY RUN- Slow into stride.
 
MISS DORA- Jumped in onto RUN BABY RUN.
 
DIPPED IN GOLD- On presentation to the enclosure, observed that both hind plates were loose. When unable to be replaced, permission was given for the horse to race bare behind. Near 900 metres, when racing greenly, laid in onto heels of MISS DORA and was eased.
 
CHILLI CON CARNE- Began awkwardly with its head in the air and lost ground. Raced wide in the middle stages.
 
LIGHTNING ARTIST- Laid in near the 400 metres and was unable to obtain clear running until shifted out near the 300 metres.
 
POR UNA CABEZA- Over the concluding stages, laid in and was unable to be ridden out.
 
Race 2: Ray White Rockhampton City Shorty Unwin Memorial BM 65 Handicap-  1050 metres  
1st- EDGE AWAY 2nd- KING COBIA 3rd- HILLCREST 4th- MR NICKO
 
MR NICKO- Slow to begin.
 
NINETTE KAN- Near the 350 metres, broke down in the near fore fetlock. Jockey D Hayse was dislodged and take to hospital for observation. Jockey Hayse was advised that he would require a medical certificate of fitness. Replacements were made as per the Stewards summary.
 
HILLCREST- Near the 300 metres, when the injured horse shifted out, was taken wider on the track.
 
Race 3: Ray White Rockhampton City Commercial Sale & Leasing Class 4 Handicap- 1200 metres  
1st- CLATEAU 2nd- ZAHA EXPRESS 3rd- RISE TO FAME 4th- DUDOOMP
 
ZAHA EXPRESS- Shifted out under pressure from the 150 metres.
 
SUPPOSING- Due to a significant break from racing, underwent a pre-race veterinary inspection and cleared to race.
 
Race 4: Ray White Rockhampton City Property Management BM 55 Handicap- 1300 metres
1st- MISS ANNA 2nd- OUTBACK PIRATE 3rd- ZIGGLER 4th- RED RADA
 
ROCK OF FREEDOM- Began awkwardly.
 
OUTBACK PIRATE- Trainer reprimanded for late declaration of A. Coome as the rider. Stewards were mindful of the circumstances of backing the horse up and the time to declare a rider. Near the 200 metres, raced in restricted room when RED RADA and MISS ANNA both shifted ground.
 
DELAGOS- Began awkwardly.
 
MISS ANNA- Tightened and checked near the 900 metres. Jockey A. Coome pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that he allowed OUTBACK PIRATE to shift in when insufficiently clear of MISS ANNA and also caused DELAGOS, which was following, to steadied. Jockey Coome’s licence to ride in races was suspended from m/night Friday 4 November up to and including 12 November, 2016 (8 days). Stewards took into account Jockey Coome’s good riding record.
 
Race 5: Ray White Rockhampton City Sales & Marketing Class 2 Handicap- 1500 metres   
1st- ROCKCHESTA 2nd- MOWER 3rd- SPURSONIC 4th- HULK HENRY
 
ROETHLISBERGER- Began awkwardly. Laid out for majority of straight and was unable to be ridden out.
 
REDMIA- Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
MOWER- Stewards sought explanation into the horse leading today. Trainer stated that the blinkers had been removed for today’s race and it was an increase in distance. Instructions given were to be positioned in a handy position and lead if the satisfied to do so. Apprentice stated that when challenged for the lead the horse raced keenly and was difficult to restrain. Explanations were noted.
