SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:
 
As the track had received 32mm of rain in the preceding days, Stewards moved the starting times of all races back by half an hour, with Race 1 starting at 1.00pm, to improve the racing surface.
 
Race 1: ROMA TYRE AND BATTERY MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
 
CONSTELLATION MISS – Difficult to load. Stewards placed a warning on CONSTELLATION MISS for its barrier manners.  
 
FRANKS – Bumped another runner when shifting out to improve near the 100m. Apprentice B. Northdurft was advised to exercise more care. 
 
THAT’S HER I THINK – Reared at the start losing considerable ground.
 
ARTFUL SONG – Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Bumped with another runner near the 100m.
 
MR BOXVALE – Raced wide throughout.

Race 2:  XXXX QTIS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1000m
 
KHAPTIVATA – Raced wide throughout.
 
BETTER OFFER – Began awkwardly
 
MISS DELIMA – Laid in approaching the 500m.
 
BELLA SONG – Raced wide rounding the home turn. 
 
 
 
Race 3:  MARANOA REGIONAL COUNCIL BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1640m
 
STRIKE ZONE – Slow to begin
 
AUSTRALIAN VENTURE – Slow to begin
 
PARANA – Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 4:  THE ROYAL AT 99 OPEN HANDICAP  1200m
 
KING OF THE FLAME – Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
TORERO – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
FAST FOCUS – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, Jockey S. McGovern reported that his mount raced keenly when caught wide in the early and middle stages, and as a result did not respond to his riding when placed under pressure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.”
 
Race 5:  LADBROOKS BUTCHERY BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1200m
 
LEAVESDEN – Bucked at the start taking no competitive part in the event and as a result of the saddle slipping, was pulled up near the 600m. Trainer B. Waldron was advised that the gelding would require a barrier certificate prior to its next start.
