Trainer M. Lakey indicated that this was the horse’s first start on a heavy track and that its previous runs had only been on soft rated rain-affected tracks. He indicated that this, in his opinion, may have been the reason for the disappointing performance and that he would monitor the horse’s post-race recovery and advise stewards should anything come to light which may have affected the performance.
