Harvey Race 1:FORMOSA FARMING CO / NUTRIENT AG SOLUTIONS ROMA MAIDEN PLATE – 1000m INSUFFERABLE – Began awkwardly lost ground. Shifted out abruptly at the 950m, tailing off, taking no further competitive part in the event. Trainer W. Baker was advised the mare would be required to obtain a barrier certificate prior to next racing MADAME TESS – Raced wide without cover throughout the early and middle stages. Inclined to lay in throughout the middle stages. Improved onto heels and was forced to restrain leaving the SPLASHING ROSSA– Shifted in under pressure in the home straight. TWOGOBOOM – Injured itself in the float on route to the course. Declared a late scratching at 9:30am. Trainer C. Rogers was advised the mare would require a veterinary clearance prior to next racing Race 2:MA&MA JOHNSTONE TRANSPORT / ST GEORGE MACHINERY CENTRE BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1000m AT THE HELM – Raced wide without cover throughout. MOCKING – Slow into stride and lost ground. WEDGED – Hung out rounding the 700m. COYNES ROAD – Fractious in barriers. Began awkwardly. Race 3: SURAT DIGGERS RACE CLUB DIGGERS CUP BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP – 1400m RINVIATA – Slow into stride. Steadied from the heels leaving the 100m when Gumshoe laid out despite the best efforts of its rider. GUMSHOE – Laid out under pressure in the home straight. SALAZAR - Slow into stride. When questioned regarding the below market expectation performance, Jockey G. Geran reported that after beginning fairly the mare travelled well until it was placed under pressure from the 600m, where it failed to respond when placed under pressure proving disappointing. A post race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Maximum Hustle – Raced wide without cover throughout. Race 4:NEW ROYAL HOTEL OPEN HANDICAP – 1200m BRYNEICH - Began awkwardly and lost ground MUSIC SCENE - Raced wide without cover for the majority No Further Racing Incidents Race 5: TOM DARLINGTON TRANSPORT / DAPCO FARMING QTIS BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP – 1200m JUST FAVULOUS - Laid in under pressure in the straight. BLUEY;S READY - Declared a late scratching at 1:50pm on veterinary advice after being injured in the float on route the course. STRALEX - Jumped awkwardly making contact with its runner on the outside. Raced wide from the 600m and failed to improve under pressure. Race 6:MOONGOOL CHAROLAIS / WAGON WHEEL CAFÉ BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 1200m MY COUSIN BOSSY – Slow to begin. DEADLY ONE - Fractious in the barriers and slow to begin. At a point leaving the 600m, blundered and lost considerable ground and was subsequently withdrawn from the event by its rider. Upon retuning to scale Jockey J. Baker advised that after the gelding blundered, it felt awkward in its action. A post race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Trainer W, Baker was advised that the gelding would require an official trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to next racing. PHIONAIX – Raced wide for the majority. IBERIAN LACE – Jumped with its head in the air and lost ground. BUDDIE OLLIE – Stewards permitted Apprentice J. Molloy to ride one kilogram overweight.
