Jumped away awkwardly. Raced wide throughout the event. WICKED CHANCE – Raced wide in the early and middle stages of the event. Apprentice S. Robbins was reprimanded under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using her whip on six (6) occasions prior to the 100m, 1 more than permitted. ARMANI BLAZE – Jumped away awkwardly and as a result was slow to begin. RUBY DIAMOND – Shifted in on jumping, bumping MODERNA’S ARROW. Raced wide throughout the event. Laid in rounding the bend upon entering the home straight. MODERNA’S ARROW – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after having not started in the previous twelve months and was cleared to start. Jumped away awkwardly. Bumped shortly after the start by RUBY DIAMOND which shifted in. Race 2: GERARD JOHNSON TRANSPORT OPEN Handicap (1000 METRES) HIGH COST – Jumped away awkwardly, making contact with the inside barrier partition. Passing the 800m elected to shift wider to avoid the kick back of the dirt track. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. HEYINGTON STATION – Overraced in the early and middle stages of the event. Raced in restricted room passing the 800m. MISHANI OPERATOR – Laid in when placed under pressure of the concluding stages of the event. Apprentice S. McCann was reprimanded under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using her whip on seven (7) occasions prior to the 100m, 2 more than permitted. KINJINA – Slow to begin. Raced wide in the early and middle stages of the event. LORD SMEDLEY – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after having not started in the previous twelve months and was cleared to start. Raced wide throughout the event. Race 3: EE PARR Maiden Plate (1200 METRES) BEAN FORTUNATE – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted out abruptly, bumping LORD LOBSTER. BINDANGO – Jumped away awkwardly. Raced wide throughout the event. Approaching the 100m, had to steady momentarily and shift out to avoid the heels of CLUB ROLLER which had laid in. Apprentice E. Pomfrett was reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(a) for allowing her mount to shift ground when insufficiently clear. HERE’S HARRY – Slow to begin. Overraced in the early stages of the event. LORD LOBSTER – Bumped on jumping by BEAN FORTUNATE. Jockey J. Rudd was fined $400 under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on nine (9) occasions prior to the 100m, 4 more than permitted. CLUB ROLLER – Raced wide throughout. Laid in approaching the 100m, inconveniencing BINDANGO which had to steady and shift out to avoid heels. Apprentice E. Pomfrett was fined $300 under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using her whip on eight (8) occasions prior to the 100m, 3 more than permitted. Race 4: LANSDOWNE PASTORAL BM60 Handicap (1200 METRES)ENTERPRISE GRAND – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted out. IN AGREEMENT – Slow to begin. When questioned regarding today’s performance in the event, Apprentice T. Townsend stated that the gelding was disappointing in todays run and could offer no further explanation for the gelding’s performance. BONNIE EV – Laid in when placed under pressure over the concluding stages of the event.VINAIGRETTE – Hampered on jumping by BALLYCASTLE which had shifted out and AURIC GOLD which had shifted in. BALLYCASTLE – Shifted out in jumping, hampering VINAIGRETTE. BITTERSWEET PLUCK – Had to steady and shift out to avoid the heels of WORLD CHARMER (NZ) which was over-racing near the 800m. WORLD CHARMER (NZ) – Overraced in the early stages of the event. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. AURIC GOLD – Shifted in on jumping, bumping VINAIGRETTE. Overraced in the early and middle stages of the event. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. Race 5: WOODHAM PETROLEUM QTIS BM55 Handicap (1400 METRES)HAGGERSTON (NZ) – Jumped away awkwardly. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. THE LANDING – Raced wide throughout the event. Hung in rounding the bend passing the 800m. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. ITSALLKAY – Stood flat footed at the start, and as a result was slow to begin. Trainer C. Baker was advised that a warning would be placed in the gelding’s record.
