Supplementary Reports
Apprentice A. Van der Sanden advised that she was ill and could not ride at the meeting. Rider replacements made as per the raceday summary. Apprentice Van der Sanden was advised she will need to provide a medical clearance prior to riding again.

RACE 1 WAYNE & TRISH NEILSEN MAIDEN PLATE 1000M

SHADA PAREE - Very difficult to load. Trainer B Murray was advised that a barrier certificate will be required prior to racing again. Very slow to jump.

GOING BALLISTIC - Hung out rounding the home turn. App. N Morton advised that GOING BALLISTIC was difficult to ride out down the running as it was inclined to hang out.

RACE 2 SHADFORTHS CIVIL CONTRACTOR BENCHMARK 45 HCP 1000M

IMILCHE was declared a late scratching by order of Stewards at 1.00pm as no rider was available.

The barrier in which CHARZOOKA was loaded failed to open and the gelding took no part in the race. CHARZOOKA was declared a non-runner and all monies invested on CHARZOOKA were refunded and the following deductions applied:

11 cents in the dollar for the winner CHILLDOWN
16 cents in the dollar for the place of the winner CHILLDOWN
15 cents in the dollar for second place MRS ASIA
14 cents in the dollar for third place ZA BUBBLES

ASTRO NASCENTE - Jumped outwards at the start and made contact with another runner.

CHILLDOWN - Bumped at the start.

WASHER - Raced wide to the home turn then tended to hang in over the latter stages.

KILKENNY MISS - Slow to jump and raced widely throughout and put little effort into her finishing run. Trainer J Williams advised she will now consider the filly’s racing future.

RACE 3 ABH TRANSPORT CLASS B HCP1200M

Correct weight was delayed when jockey J. Missen, rider of second placed LAKE ARGYLE, lodged an objection against the winner, KENKERJOCA, on the ground of interference over the last 200m of the event. After taking evidence from all parties and viewing the patrol footage, Stewards dismissed the protest as they believed the interference suffered by LAKE ARGYLE was minimal, and declared correct weight on the judge’s placings.

HAMMERACK – Jockey N. Evans advised that the horse was slow to jump and raced sluggishly in the early stages subsequently taking up a position behind the field. HAMMERACK then ran on fairly over the concluding stages.

RACE 4 ANIPRO OPEN HCP 1200M

FORETOKEN – App. N Norton was reprimanded for claiming only 1 1/2 kg of her 2kg allowance.

BRADY ‘N’ ME - Slow to jump and was very slow to gather momentum in the early stages before running on well over the concluding stages.

RACE 5 IGA TAROM BENCHMARK 60 HCP 1400M

CAMPANOLOGY - Missed the start and settled at the rear of the field until the 500m where App. N Norton shifted wider and attempted to improve. CAMPANOLOGY subsequently weakened in the straight finishing well back. Stewards advised App. Morton that she may have been better served by riding the horse for luck by staying on or near the rails after getting back early in the run.
