GENERAL-

After the running of Race 2 at today’s program the weather deteriorated with storm conditions including lightening, strong winds and heavy rain. After consultation with Club officials and riders, with Stewards utilising the QRIC Race Meeting Abandonment Procedure an assessment of the racing surface was undertaken with the racing surface and surrounding areas potentially being unsafe to continue the race meeting with surface water and the black soil surface being boggy. Under the circumstances outlined Stewards decided that Races 3-5 be called off.

RACE 2: BW ARGUS BUILDERS QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1200M

Began to improve into the race after entering the home straight and finished off the race well over the concluding stages.
