Race 1: Dolce N Hazel Event Styling Maiden Plate – 1075m
 
ROUND THE FIRE – Reared as the start and missed the start by seven lengths. Trainer Mr C. Russell was advised that the gelding would be required to gain a barrier certificate prior to accepting for a future race.
 
DIZZY GIRL – Apprentice S. Stephen reported that her mount failed to respond to her riding at any stage of the event. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer Mr J. Poots was advised that DIZZY GIRL would be required to trial competitively prior to accepting for a future race start.
 
Race 2: Linda Higgins Ratings 0-60 Handicap – 1075m
 
RIVER SPAN – Laid out when placed under pressure in the straight.
 
LIBERTY’S GIFT – Approaching the 300m became awkwardly placed on the heels of BLAZING ASH and had to shift out to improve into clear running.
 
THE OLD BIRD (NZ) – Slow to begin.
 
ZATORIO – Slow to begin.
 
Race 3: 2021 Battle Of The Bush Qualifier Open Handicap – 1200m
 
MISS BULITZ – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after breaking through the barriers prior to the start being affected and galloped a short distance before being restrained and was passed fit to start.
 
WALSHIE - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after breaking through the barriers prior to the start being affected and galloped a short distance before being restrained and was passed fit to start.
 
MUSIC SCENE - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after breaking through the barriers prior to the start being affected and galloped a short distance before being restrained and was passed fit to start.
 
NATIVE BEE - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after breaking through the barriers prior to the start being affected and galloped a short distance before being restrained and was passed fit to start. Momentarily held up for clear running on entering the home straight.
 
Race 4: Valerie Garrett QTIS Benchmark 55 Handicap – 1600m
 
MY TARANAKI (NZ) – Slow to begin.
 
MAGIC WISHES – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after competing within the past seven days and was passed fit to start.
 
TONTEIN – Overraced in the early and middle stages.
 
 
Race 5: Abby Buhlmann Class B Handicap – 800m
 
CLUSTERFEST – Slow to begin.
 
LA BELLE LA BELLE – Raced in restricted room over the concluding stages after attempting to improve into a run to the inside of COPSINTHEDONUTSHOP where there was insufficient room to improve.
