Race 1: WELCOME BACK EVERYONE BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1075 metres
 
SIR MAGIC – Bumped on jumping with VON SAGA. Failed to muster early speed settling off the back of the field. A post-race veterinary examination confirmed the gelding had suffered a suspensory ligament injury to the off foreleg. The connections advised SIR MAGIC would be retired from racing. A veterinary clearance was however placed on the gelding’s record.
 
ORNATE – Slow to begin. Raced wide middle stages.
 
VON SAGA – Bumped at start with SIR MAGIC.
 
KARBORS – A pre-race veterinary examination cleared the gelding to race after the gelding raced within the previous seven days. Raced wide middle stages.
 
SOLID ASSET – When questioned about the performance of SOLID ASSET jockey A Spinks advised the gelding was flat throughout, would appreciate further distance and would benefit from today’s race.
 
 
Race 2: ST JOEYS FAMILY DAY JULY 16TH MAIDEN PLATE 1200 metres
 
NALSSENDORI – Jumped away awkwardly and was slow as a result.
 
QWICK – Lay inwards over the final 200m.
 
GALAXY UNKNOWN – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
LADY SHEILACK – Raced wide with cover early stages.
 
MISS BENEFITS – Rider A Sewell reported the mare got its tongue over the bit during the running.
 
 
Race 3: BATTLE OF THE BUSH JUNE 6TH BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 1300 metres
 
PACKAGE – Raced wide early stages. Lay in passing the 200m.
 
GALVARINO – Shifted off heels passing the 200m when improving onto the heels of PACKAGE.
 
RUTTO – Raced in restricted room over the concluding stages when CRAIGLEA CLINKERS shifted ground outwards.
 
DAWNSTAR – Was cleared to race after undergoing a pre-race veterinary examination after racing within the previous seven days.Raced wide middle stages.
 
SASANQUAS – Fractious in the barriers and reared just prior to the jump.
 
CRAIGLEA CLINKERS – Rider H Richardson was questioned by Stewards regarding the vigour she showed over the concluding stages. Mrs Richardson advised the horse had hung outwards for the majority of the race and short of the winning post she had placed RUTTO in restricted room. She further stated she was on one rein and was reluctant to use her whip due to the mare shifting ground. The Stewards noted jockey Richardson’s explanation.
 
 
Race 4: THANGOOL CUP SEPTEMBER 10TH OPEN HANDICAP 1300 metres
 
AMMOUDI BAY – Shifted inwards at the jump. Improved three wide over the middle stages. 
 
TARAKI – Lay inwards shortly after the start. When questioned regarding the performance of TARAKI jockey A Spinks advised the mare was flat throughout and disappointed. A post-race veterinary examinationfailed to disclose any abnormalities.
 
NECESSITAS – Lunged at the gates just prior to the jump.
 
 
Race 5: BECOME A MEMBER QTIS BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1600 metres
 
DARK ARCHER – Raced wide early stages before improving to the lead.
 
FROZE – Slow to begin. Following the running of the race apprentice rider S Robbins was treated by QAS for an injury to her right ankle. Ms Robbins intended to have a follow up medical assessment.  Ms Robbins was advised she will require a medical clearance prior to resuming riding.  
 
HOMECALL – Slow to begin. Raced wide early stages.
 
SETHLANS – Raced keenly through the early and middle stages.
 
CRAIGLEA BANDIT – Slow to begin.
