Race 1: Howard Helicopters QTIS Maiden Plate – 1200 metres
MISS RINEHART – Declared a late scratching at 12pm when there was no available rider.
REBEL’S DAUGHTER – Declared a late scratching at 12pm when there was no available rider.
MADANCER – Stewards permitted Jockey A Butler to ride the gelding 0.5 kilograms overweight as no other rider was available. Returned to the enclosure with blood in its mouth. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had bitten its tongue.
TELMESOMETHING’ GIRL – App. N Olzard was dislodged and suffered a harmless fall in the mounting enclosure prior to the event. App. Olzard reported that the filly hung out badly for the distance of the home straight.
MY LITTLE VIKING – Steadied momentarily near the 50 metres when TELMESOMETHIN’ GIRL shifted out slightly under pressure. App. N Olzard was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances.
STELLA REACH – Bumped by GOLDIE’S POWER at the start and consequently contacted MADANCER.
GOLDIE’S POWER – Began awkwardly and bumped STELLA REACH. Raced ungenerously for a short distance in the early stages.
DETROIT GIRL – Raced four wide without cover during the early stages.
Race 2: Biloela Plumbing Works Open Plate – 1200 metres
EAGLE EYE STAR – Cast both front shoes in the float on route to the course. The gelding was reshod prior to racing. Raced four wide without cover throughout.
SVINDAL – Slow into stride.
HOLIDAY DREAMS – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
Race 3: Meissner Pastoral Co Class B Handicap – 1300 metres
REOJOAN – Declared a late scratching at 12:20pm when there was no suitable rider available to rider the mare at or near the allocated weight.
THE STONE MASON – Raced three wide without cover through the middle stages.
STURDY TIME – Slow to begin.
Race 4: First Grade Contract Maintenance Benchmark 60 Handicap – 1600 metres
AURON – Jockey A Butler dismounted from the gelding upon pulling up after it showed signs on lameness in the offside front leg. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had suffered an injury to its off fore suspensory tendon. The gelding was treated by the veterinary surgeon prior to leave the course. Trainer R Williams was advised that the gelding will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.

Race 5: NKJ Auto Electrics Benchmark 55 Handicap – 800 metres
WICKED CHANCE – Stewards permitted Jockey C Rogers to ride filly 1 kilogram overweight as there was no other rider available.
KRISPY KEV – Slow to begin.
BRIGHT TARA – Jockey A Sewell reported that his saddle began to roll from about the 100 metres, placing him at a disadvantage.
