RACE 1: The Rack 'n' Stack Warenouse Class 6 Plate - 1400 metres

BELORUM - Slow to begin. Raced 3 wide without cover from the 1000m.

REAL WARRIOR - Had to be steadied near the 500m when disappointed for clear running.


RACE 2: - Radio Townsville Power 100 QTIS 2-Y-O Maiden Handicap - 1000 metres


WICKED DANCER - When Apprentice Q. Krogh was unable to fulfil his riding engagements due to transport difficulties, Jockey C. Whiteley was substituted.


OB LA DI - Slow to begin.



CRAIGLEA ARION - Shifted out abruptly at the start and made contact with another runner.



CHIPS A PLENTY - Had to be checked soon after the start and again near the 700m. After the winning post sustained a severe injury to the near fore fetlock and subsequently was euthenased on humane grounds.



WICKED DANCER - Hampered soon after the start and was obliged to race wide throughout.



VALUATE - Was inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight. Raced wide without cover throughout the event.



Jockey W. D'Avila, the rider of VALUATE, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under A.R. 137(a) for allowing his mount to shift in approaching the 700m when not sufficiently clear of CHIPS A PLENTY, which had to be checked to avoid the heels of VALUATE. Jockey D'Avila's licence to ride in races was suspended for 9 days, to take effect from midnight 25th November 2017 and to expire at midnight on 4th December 2017.





RACE 3: Ray White Bushland Beach Douglas/West End Maiden Plate - 1200 metres



LOVE ME RUBY - Slow to begin, then over-raced in the early stages.



D'MAIN TRAIN - Slow to begin.



COLOUR DRAMA - Slow to begin. Held up for clear running in the early part of the home straight when awkwardly placed on the heels of CRAIGLEA MARIAH (Jockey J. Stanley).



CRAIGLEA MARIAH - Following the race Jockey Stanley reported that it was not his intention to be racing outside the leader, but his mount over-raced and he was unable to settle the filly in the middle stages.



RACE 4: Northern Rural Group Ratings Band 0 - 65 Handicap - 1200 metres





ETRANGERE - Blundered at the start.



ONE FOR THE MONEY - Slow to begin.



BON TEMPS - Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.



MODEL TO EXCEED - Over-raced in the early stages.



RACE 5: Arthur J. Gallagher Insurance Brokers QTIS 3-Y-O Maiden Handicap - 1000 metres



GENERAL CHEVAL - When Apprentice Q. Krogh was unable to fulfil his riding engagements due to transport difficulties, Jockey J. Lambie was substituted. Jockey J Lambie was reprimanded for using his whip above shoulder height over the final 100m.



CRAIGLEA WEAPON - Began very awkwardly and shifted out.



MAHARG – Slow to begin



NORTHERN SECRET - Proved difficult to load into the barriers.
Trainer J. Campaeo was advised that a warning will be placed on the filly's barrier manners. Raced greenly throughout and had to be restrained near the 500m when racing in restricted room.



CRAIGLEA ANNIE - Slow to begin. Raced greenly and had to be steadied at the 800m.



AMBITIOUS DREAM – Raced 3 wide throughout.



LUVYA BREAK - Raced 3 wide throughout



INDELICACY – Raced 4 wide without cover throughout.



MR SONADOR - Difficult to load into the barriers. Raced 3 wide without cover throughout. Raced Trainer R. Chillemi advised stewards that the gelding will now be sent for a spell. Nevertheless, he was told that a warning will be placed on the gelding's barrier manners.



CRAFTY BLONDE - Shifted out under pressure over the final 100m.



RACE 6: Hygain Class 6 Plate - 1000 metres



METEOR STORM - Jockey C. Jokic replaced Jockey Q. Krogh as rider of the gelding.



I'LL TAKE THE JAG - Hampered at the start and shifted out away from heels near the 600m. Raced 4 wide without cover throughout. On returning to scale Jockey C. Whiteley reported that his mount hung in under pressure over the final 200m and as a result he was unable to ride the gelding out in his normal manner.



KIRABO – Raced 3 wide without cover.



EL CAPO – Slow to begin.



BULLION WOLF – Raced 4 wide without cover.



EASY WEEKEND - Hampered soon after the start.



BORN TO FIRE - Slow to begin, raced wide throughout.



SNAPPY LEGEND - Held up for clear running in the home straight, untill passing the 100m.



Race 7: MM Electrical Mining BenchMark 60 Handicap - 1400 metres



FLYING ONE MORE - Over-raced in the early stages.



HARJAKA - Slow to begin, raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
