GENERAL

As B. Pengelly and M. Elliott were not riding at today’s meeting due to illness, riding replacements were made as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.

Race 1: HYGAIN QTIS 2YO MAIDEN H'CAP – 1000M

The start of this race was delayed due to the ambulance attending an accident off-course.

The start was further delayed when RIVERSIDE BLUES dislodged rider P. Cullen en route to the barriers.

NORTHERN GREAT – Raced greenly in the early stages. Raced wide for the majority of the event.

RIVERSIDE BLUES – Dislodged rider P. Cullen en route to the barriers. After proceeding a short distance the gelding was captured, examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start. Rider P. Cullen declared himself free of injury and able to fulfil his engagement.

ROYAL RUSKI – Forced wider on jumping. Raced greenly in the early stages. Raced wide throughout and rounding the home turn shifted wider on the track.

CAT IN THE RAINE – As C. Whiteley was late arriving on course due to transportation difficulties, he was replaced by W. D’Avila as the rider of the filly. Began awkwardly. Became unbalanced for a short distance leaving the 200m before being corrected.

JAY KAY CEE – Shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.

STARLET DRAGON – Shifted out abruptly on jumping, forcing another runner wider.
Race 2: TAB DOWNLOAD THE APP BENCHMARK 69 H'CAP – 1400M

ALLEZ TROIENNE – Shifted in near the 300m bumping another runner.

MOVING TARGET – Bumped by another runner near the 300m. When questioned regarding the improved performance as compared to its previous start, trainer S. Royes stated that the horse was not suited by the pattern of racing at its last start when it raced back in the field and felt the gelding is much better suited when able to race in a forward position, which it was able to do today. Her explanation was noted. Ms Royes was advised that it would be expected for the horse to race in a similar pattern in future.

RAGAZZO DEL CORSA – Raced wide for the majority of the event.A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be lame in the near foreleg. Connections were advised that a veterinary clearance must be provided before the horse would be permitted to race again.

EDEN ROAD – Dwelt slightly on jumping.

Race 3: LOOK OUT FOR THE NEW TTC MAIDEN PLATE – 1200M

ARTE ET MARTE – Began awkwardly. Lost its near fore plate in running soon after the start.

BATTLE MOUNTAIN – Raced wide for the majority of the event.

BAUHINIA TED – Shifted out abruptly on jumping, tightening a runner to its outside.

BELAR BLUE – Raced ungenerously under pressure in the home straight, shifting ground.

HELLO CHARLIE – Slow to begin.

LORD BYRON – Began awkwardly and lost ground.

MUMBIDA LAD – Slow to begin. Commenced to hang out leaving the 600m, shifting very wide rounding the home turn. Trainer R. Nelson was advised that the horse must trial to the satisfaction of stewards before being permitted to race again.

PANTONE – Raced wide without cover for the majority of the event.

TICKET TO INDIA – Tightened for room on jumping and lost ground.

Race 4: GLOBE GROWING SOLUTIONS CLASS 6 PLATE – 1200M

BLAZING STEEL – Overraced in the middle stages and as a result shifted wider leaving the 700m.

BACHELOR’S ART – Slow to begin. Raced ungenerously in the middle stages.

SIMPLY MARVELLOUS – Slow to begin.

OWENS – Rider P. Romeo advised stewards on returning to scale that the gelding had a tendency to hang out throughout the race and was further of the opinion that the horse may have held its breath and that he had advised connections that it may be beneficial to add a tongue tie to its racing gear.

ROCKETHEAD – Overraced in the early stages.

Race 5: PAYNTERS QTIS 3YO CLASS 2 H'CAP – 1000M

HIT SNOOZE – Connections advised that it would be the intention to ride the horse with cover if circumstances permitted. This was advertised via media outlets. The horse was ridden accordingly.

KODAI – Tightened for room on jumping. Raced wide for the majority of the event.

TIGER CAN – Slow to begin.

SHE’S MAGANDA – Slow to begin.

BOSS BABY – Jumped inwards at the start, tightening runners to its inside. Raced greenly for a short distance leaving the 300m when placed under pressure.

HARRY ROCKET – Shifted out on jumping, tightening runners to its outside. Raced wide for the majority of the event.

Race 6: WELCOME SINGAPORE DEFENCE OPEN H'CAP – 1000M

WINDMILL LANE – Raced wide throughout.

HIDDEN IN HEAVEN – Raced wide throughout.

EL SHADAY – Placed in restricted room near the 200m, having to be steadied. Crowded for room near the 150m by another runner which was taken inwards.

BULLION WOLF – Slow to begin.

AIRACOBRA – Raced wide throughout. Steadied off heels near the 500m when racing ungenerously.

PERFECT KNOWLEDGE – Shifted in leaving the 150m, crowding runners to its inside. Rider N. Day was advised to show greater care in similar circumstances.

SWEET SURPRISE – Shifted in under pressure near the 200m, placing another runner in restricted room before being corrected. Rider C. Whiteley was advised to show greater care in similar circumstances. Forced inwards by another runner near the 150m, crowding a runner to its inside.

ARARRAC – Shifted out slightly near the 200m, crowding runners to its outside. Rider A. Sewell was advised to exercise more care.


Race 7: GREAT NORTHERN RATINGS BAND 0 – 60 H'CAP – 1000M

STONE PHILOSOPHER – Began awkwardly.

CANFORD TREE – Unable to muster early speed.

MISS ESTER – Began awkwardly. Rider N. Nelson dropped her whip leaving the 200m.

NO HAT NO PLAY – Raced wide for the majority of the event.

BLAZON TALES – Began awkwardly. Had a tendency to lay in under pressure in the home straight. Raced wide for the majority of the event.
