Race 1: JEWELLERY BY DESIGN Maiden Handicap 1400 metres
 
LUCIA MARIA – Fractious in transit to the racecourse, after undergoing a veterinary examination was declared a late scratching at 11.58am by order of stewards acting on veterinary advice after having lacerations to its forehead. Trainer T. Simmons was advised she must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness prior to the filly racing or trialling again.
 
AMBER ROCK – Slow to begin.
 
NONNO JOE – Began awkwardly and shifted in bumping ANOTHER DIMESION. Raced ungenerously in the early stages and shifted in near the 1200 metres placing ANOTHER DIMENSION in restricted room. Saddle shifted to the near side soon after entering the home straight placing jockey F. Edwards at a disadvantage.Laid in near the 250 metres making contact with the hind quarters of TRAJIC FRIENDS which was shifting out resulting in both runners becoming unbalanced. A short distance later was inconvenienced by TRAGIC FRIENDS which shifted out.  
 
ANOTHER DIMENSION – Bumped on jumping.Raced in restricted room near the 1200 metres and was restrained.
 
TRAJIC FRIENDS – After bumping with NONNO JOE near the 250 metres and being unbalanced, continued to shift out inconveniencing NONNO JOE which was also unbalanced.Whilst stewards noted that TRAJIC FRIENDS became unbalanced in this incident, jockey Morrison was advised to show greater care.
 
DENNYMO MAGIC (NZ) – Raced three wide without cover for the majority.
 
Race 2: EXPLORE PROPERTY MUNRO & CO RATINGS BAND 0 - 65 Handicap 1609 metres
 
TRODAIRE – Began awkwardly. Jockey N. Day was reminded of his obligation to ride his mount right out to the winning post.
 
HIGHER LOVE – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
BELLS APPROACHING – Raced wide until improving forward to obtain a position outside the leader near the 900 metres.
 
MEDAL (NZ) – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn until near the 200 metres.
 
Race 3: EXPLORE PROPERTY MUNRO & CO QTIS Three-Year-Old Handicap 1000 metres
 
SIMPLY BETTER – Slow to begin.
 
OUR ADDICTION – Hung in soon after the start hampering PEGGIE BOOM. Raced wide for the majority.

CROWNING MOMENT – Bounded in the air on jumping and blundered, shifted inwards inconveniencing POLARMORE PRINCESS. Tendency to over-race in the middle stages.
 
MISSION ESTATE – Bounded in the air on jumping and lost ground.

PEGGIE BOOM – Hampered soon after the start and was steadied. – Raced wide for the majority.

FREDDY BARBAROSSA – Shifted out at the start bumping EVIL WOMAN.
 
EVIL WOMAN – Bumped on jumping.
 
POLARMORE PRINCESS – Inconvenienced at the start and lost ground.
 
RED BOOMSHAKALAKA – Lost its near hind plate during running. A post- race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to its near hind leg.
 
CARESSING RUPERT – Raced wide for the majority.
 
BRADBURY'S EXPRESS – Raced wide for the majority.
 
Following the running of this race the judge informed the stewards that the photo finish had malfunctioned. After examining the race replay stewards were satisfied with the judges semaphored numbers and declared correct weight.
 
Race 4: HIGGINS COATINGS BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 1000 metres
 
PRIVATE CHEETAH – Began awkwardly.
 
PREMIUM STAR – Bounded in the air on jumping.
 
NUKE – After being slow to begin was then tightened for room.
 
SUPPER FAST – Reared as the start was effected and was then tightened for room.
 
DO WELL LEGEND – Shifted out at the start tightening runners to its outside. Raced wide for the majority.
 
SATURDAY VIBES – Shifted in soon after the start tightening runners to its inside.

OVOID – Laid out early and middle stages and raced wide as a result.

THE SHERPA – Raced wide for the majority.
 
SNAP CHAT – Restrained off heels near the 250 metres. Raced wide for the majority.
 
BILBAO – Raced wide for the majority.  
 
Race 5: EXPLORE PROPERTY MUNRO & CO LADIES BRACELET Fillies and Mares Class 6 1300 metres
 
PINDARRA'S DREAM –Trainer A. Molino was reprimanded in that he failed to declare overweight for the mare by the required time. Restrained off heels near the 500 metres.
 
UNASSAILABLE – As jockey R. Wiggins was unable to make the allotted weight he was replaced by N. Day. R. Wiggins was fined the sum of $200 under the provisions of AR190(3). Over-raced in the early stages. Momentarily crowded for room near the 250 metres.
 
FROM THIS MOMENT – Connections advised the instructions would be issued to ride the filly in a forward position if circumstances permitted. Was unable to muster any early speed and raced back in field.
 
WINNING SAGA – Jumped in at the start making heavy with LANOVA and lost ground.  
 
LANOVA – Bumped heavily on jumping. Raced wide for the majority.  
 
 
MISS SEATTLE – Shifted momentarily near the 250 metres crowding UNASSAILABLE. Raced wide for the majority.  
 
DON'T TELL LEEANNE – Raced wide for the majority.  
 
Race 6: LADBROKES WINTER CUP OPEN Handicap 2000 metres
 
DON ARCANGELO –Trainer S. Massingham was reprimanded in that he failed to declare overweight for the gelding by the required time. Raced in restricted room over the concluding stages.
 
STAR STATUS – Slow to begin.
 
READY BY DESIGN – Slow to begin.
 
MYSTERY 'N' MAGIC – Slow to begin. Over-raced in the early stages. Raced wide for the majority.
 
AMERICAN SAINT – Tightened for room and steadied approaching the winning post on the final occasion when racing in restricted room.Jockey J. Stanley advised stewards that it was not his intention to race back in the field today however the gelding failed to show any early speed.
 
SAYL (GB) – Raced wide for the majority.

PLAY ME NOW (NZ) – Over-raced in the early stages.
 
Race 7: LADBROKES OPEN Handicap 1200 metres
 
IMPOSING BEAU – Slow to begin.Compounded over the concluding stages.Trainer S. Bush will be interviewed at a later date for his comment on its performance.
 
GO GETABOY – Over-raced in the early stages.
 
FAMILY STAR – Over-raced in the early stages.
 
FULL RECOGNITION – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages. Raced wide for the majority.
 
YES DREAM – Raced wide for the majority. When asked to explain its performance today jockey L. Morrison explained the gelding was obliged to race three wide for the majority of the race and along with the break between runs was a telling factor, in her opinion it would derive benefit from today’s race. Trainer Mr Lee agreed with Ms Morrisons opinion and also added today’s heavy weight impost may have also had a bearing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards noted the explanations.    
 
MOLONGLE SURPRISE – Raced wide for the majority.
 
DUSKY DAMSEL – Raced wide for the majority.
