Williams was injured, riding replacements were made as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.RACE 1: MORT AND CO BENCHMARK 70 H’CAP – 1000MAs apprentice B. Panya was unable to arrive on course in time to fulfil her engagement, R. Goltz was substituted as the rider of RHIATENN ROAD.CORRYVRECKAN – Slow to begin. Forced to steady and shift wider at the 100m when taken in by HEAVENLY GLASS. Apprentice B. Newport, the rider of HEAVENLY GLASS, was reprimanded for this incident.ALL MOUNTAIN – F. Jervis was reprimanded for using the whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m.SUNSET SHOWDOWN – Bumped with another runner approaching the 400m. When questioned regarding the horse’s disappointing performance, S. Bogenhuber agreed the performance was disappointing, however she could offer no tangible explanation. She reported that the gelding travelled well, however did not respond when placed under pressure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.TURBO TEDDY – Declared a late scratching at 1:01 p.m. due to the downgrade of the track.HEAVENLY GLASS – Raced wide throughout. Bumped with another runner approaching the 400m.CODE ONE – Slow to begin. Laid in rounding the home turn. RACE 2: SEDL AGENCIES BENCHMARK 75 H’CAP – 1625MTOUCH OF BELLA – Apprentice J. Oliver was fined $200 for failing to ride his mount out to the end of the race. In determining penalty, Stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that his actions had cost his mount 2nd placing.DAZZLING HALO – N. Tomizawa was reminded of his obligations regarding raising his whip arm above shoulder height.AGADIR – Raced keenly in the early stages.PINBALL DAWN – Raced keenly in the early stages.RACE 3: BELLE PROPERTY CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1050M SOPHIE’S DESTINY – Performed below market expectations. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.LADY MICAELA – Raced wide throughout.ROCK OF GLORY – Bumped at the start.CAUGHT A CRACKER – Shifted in and bumped with another runner at the start.RACE 4: FITTON INSURANCE CLASS 4 H’CAP – 1300MMARKSFIELD – Laid out under pressure in the home straight.MR ALFRANCO – Raced wide from the 800m. Apprentice T. Brooker reported that her mount slipped at the start and lost significant ground.LONHRO’S SPIRIT – Inclined to lay in under pressure in the early stages of the home straight. Performed below market expectations. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.WOW FACTOR – N. Tomizawa was fined $200 for using the whip more than 5 times and in consecutive strides prior to the 100m.RULING MISS – Slow to begin and lost significant ground.RACE 5: NORTH AUSTRALIAN HELICOPTER CLASS 1 PLATE – 2030M Apprentice L. Tilley was to be overweight, Stewards permitted apprentice J. Oliver to replace him as the rider of LADY HARRIET when no other claiming apprentice was available. Apprentice Tilley was fined $200.AHA I SEE – Stewards acceded to a request by trainer J. Hanna to allow the horse to race without a nasal strip as this gear was unable to be applied due to the weather conditions. Slow to begin.WAR FRONT – Slow to begin.AMAWIN – Raced ungenerously passing the winning post on the first occasion when being restrained from heels.LADY HARRIET – Tightened at the start. Raced three wide without cover from the 1300m.Following the running of this event, the track was downgraded to HEAVY 9 retrospective.RACE 6: HOOPER ACCOUNTANTS MAIDEN H'CAP – 1100M YEEZY – Tightened for room at the start. Held up rounding the home turn. When questioned regarding the horse’s improved performance, trainer B. Currie reported that he was very disappointed with its last start run at Rockhampton where he was expecting a forward showing. He added that the horse had been working well in the lead up to tonight’s event and he was again expecting the horse to run well.MORE THAN TEARS – Began awkwardly.RACE 7: TRACKSIDE PHOTOGRAPHY QTIS 3YO MAIDEN H'CAP – 1210M MICKEY DAZZLER – Apprentice M. Schrapel reported that his mount slipped on jumping away, resulting in him becoming very unbalanced in the saddle and losing ground.TONY BALONEY – Bumped with another runner at the 550m. Laid in under pressure down the home straight, which prevented rider N. Tomizawa from riding the horse out with his usual vigour.REDSERA – Stewards acceded to a request by trainer R. Lipp to remove the blinkers from the horse’s gear in this event owing to the prevailing track conditions. Bumped heavily by another runner at the 400m.RANI’S DYNASTY – Bumped with another runner at the 550m. Shifted out and made heavy contact with another runner at the 400m and shortly after had to be steadied when awkwardly placed at the heels of EMINENT KNIGHT, which shifted out. Apprentice B.
