Race 1: PAKADERINGA FEEDLOT CLASS 2 PLATE – 1210M
 
CHECKMATE KING – Raced wide for the majority.
 
FISH BURGER – Began awkwardly and shifted in making heavy contact with another runner.
 
HOMELAND SECURITY – Bumped heavily at the start.
 
BEL BEAU – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
ABB ROY – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
MAIDENOVER – Began awkwardly, and failed to muster early speed before being ridden aggressively by its rider to obtain a handy position. Hung out rounding the home turn. On return to scale, jockey J. Oliver and trainer L. Hatch both expressed disappointment in the mare’s performance despite it finishing 3rd today. Jockey Oliver reported that, in his opinion, the mare raced flat today. Mr. Hatch advised that in light of today’s performance he will now review the mare’s preparation prior to committing it to its next race start.
 
TISANI TOPAZ – As Apprentice M. Savva was riding at another venue and unable to arrive on course to fulfil her engagement, jockey S. Bogenhuber was substituted as rider when no other apprentice rider was available.
 
Race 2: BINDAREE BEEF RATINGS BAND 0-68 H’CAP – 1300M
 
COLPO DI TAMBURO – Bumped another runner when shifting out to secure clear running near the 500m.
 
MAKE A RULER – After being caught wide in the early stages, jockey S. Bogenhuber permitted her mount to stride forward to obtain a position outside the leader near the 900m. Hung out whilst rounding the home turn, and then laid in under pressure when commencing to weaken in the home straight, and proved difficult to ride.
 
WINE BARREL – After being caught wide in the early stages, the gelding was restrained by its rider passing the 1000m to obtain a position one of the fence in a rearward position. Hung in under pressure in the home straight.
 
VIBRATO – After being caught wide in the early stages, jockey N. Thomas attempted to obtain a position one off the fence however he was prevented from doing so by another runner and, as a result, his mount was forced to race wide throughout. Bumped and forced wider on the track by another runner leaving the 500m.
 
THUMBS UP – Slow to begin. Held up for a short distance near the 400m, and again when awkwardly placed at heels in the early stages of the home straight.
 
WICCAN REDE – After being caught 3 wide in the early stages, jockey R. Goltz restrained his mount to a trailing position one off the fence behind the eventual winner of the race, COLPO DI TAMBURO, approaching the 1100m. Bumped by another runner on two occasions after leaving the 1100m. Improved onto heels when the pace of the race steadied near the 1000m and, as a result, lost ground.
 
RELNINO – Hung out from the 400m.
 
Race 3: AUSTRALIAN AGRICULTURAL COMPANY (AACO) BENCHMARK 55 H’CAP – 1640M
 
SUPERVISOR – Raced 3 wide from a point approaching the 800m.
 
THE POTATO PONTIFF – Hung in throughout, and during the race the bit pulled through the mouth of the gelding placing its rider at a significant disadvantage.
 
CHICAGO NIGHTS – Disappointed for a run whilst rounding the home turn and was forced to shift back to the inside to secure clear running, and was again disappointed for a run at the 150m. Tightened for room shortly after the winning post.
 
LINCOLN’S COMMAND – Tightened for room shortly after passing the winning post when THE POTATO PONTIFF shifted in despite the efforts of its rider.
 
JET’N’WILD – Stood flat-footed as the start was effected and lost ground.
 
Race 4: FRASERS TRANSPORT CLASS 4 H’CAP – 1640M
 
TOGA PICTA – Began awkwardly. Held up for a considerable distance passing the 500m.
 
MCMAHON – Began very awkwardly which almost resulted in its rider being dislodged and, as a result, lost valuable ground at the start. Hung out rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be exhibiting an abnormal respiratory noise. In light of the veterinary report, trainer L. Hatch advised that he will now review the horse’s current preparation.
 
THE IRONS – Held up for a considerable distance passing the 500m. Laid in in the home straight.
 
COOLMUNDA – As G. Geran was riding at another venue and unable to arrive on course to fulfil his engagement, jockey R. Goltz was substituted as rider.
 
RENEWING HOPE – Hung out throughout.
 
Race 5: SKIN AND SCALP SOLUTION MAIDEN PLATE – 1300M
 
DON’T LOOK NOW – Raced in restricted room for a short distance approaching the 1200m. Laid in for the majority.
 
LEADBURN LION – Began awkwardly. Raced greenly whilst being restrained in the early stages.
 
ELYSIA – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
FIZZ – Steadied from heels near the 1200m. Steadied from heels when racing greenly approaching the 800m.
 
MONGELICA – Slow to begin. Steadied to avoid heels near the 1200m.
 
Race 6: WOMEN OF LOT FEEDING QTIS 3YO MAIDEN PLATE – 1210M
 
NAVAL STRIKE – Slow to begin. Hung out rounding the home turn.
 
WEATHER MAN – Apprentice J. Huxtable was reminded of his obligation regarding raising his whip arm above shoulder height.
 
CREENA – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout. Hung in throughout. A post-race veterinary examination of the filly, which yielded ground in the home straight, revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
VIOLET – Stood flat-footed at the start and lost ground.
 
Race 7: VANDERFIELD JOHN DEERE MAIDEN H’CAP – 1000M
 
SNAP ON – Jockey R. Goltz reported that the gelding travelled strongly on the bit throughout, however when asked to improve from the 300m the gelding failed to quicken as expected and, in his opinion, proved disappointing in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be exhibiting a poor post-race recovery.
 
HENRY FAMOUS – Slipped behind on jumping away and lost ground.
 
GASPARINI – A pre-race veterinary examination of the gelding, which has not raced since August 2018, revealed no apparent abnormalities. The gelding was therefore passed fit to start.
 
DAME ELLIE – Held up rounding the home turn.
 
KNUCKLEBOX – Began awkwardly and lost ground. When racing keenly the gelding was steadied for some distance when awkwardly placed at heels approaching the 800m.
 
TATACHILLA – Raced wide without cover throughout.
