QUEENSLANDRACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT WANDOAN TURF CLUB WANDOAN – SATURDAY 22 MAY 2021 WEATHER – FINE TRACK RATING – DIRT. RAIL – TRUE OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – R Hitchener Stewards – P JenkinsClerk of Scales – StewardsJudge – J MoodyVeterinarian – Dr H OliverStarter – C James Race 1: COL & ANNE HICKEY MEMORIAL/ SANTOS BENCHMARK 65 HCAP 900M PRINCESS LOTTIE- Bled both nostrils during the event. As this was the second occasion on which the mare had bled, it would now be barred from racing for life. Race 2: WETERN DOWNS REGIONAL COUNCIL BENCHMARK 45 H’CAP 900M HARAMAIN- App S Stephan was advised that she instructed to use minimal whip on the gelding as it resents being struck with the whip. FALVERA- Began awkwardly. HARRAMAIN- Began awkwardly. CURRUMBIN- Bled both nostrils during the event. As this was the first occasion the gelding had bled, it would now be barred for racing for a period of 3 months and further would be required to gallop 1000m in the presence of Stewards prior to next racing. Race 3: MULLINS MITRE 10 / MURILLA HARDWARE QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1000M BARTA LINES- Bumped at the start. Rider reported he saddle shifted during the event placing her at a disadvantage. WUNULLA LADY- Bumped at the start. PROMPT REPLY- Slow to begin and laid out during the early stages. Race 4: RIVERINA STOCKFEEDS WANDOAN CUP BENCHMARK 60 HCAP 1200M No racing incidents. Race 5: SHADFORTH’S-WINDMILL VILLAGE WANDOAN BENCHMARK 45 HCAP 1200M NO TAN TAT- As the mare had not raced in a period exceeding 12 months, it was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon prior to the event and passed suitable to race. BLUEY’S READY- Bumped on jumping. Raced 3 wide without cover throughout. LENNON’S PADDOCK- Raced 4 wide without cover throughout. BUDDIE OLLIE- Rider J Baker reported the gelding was reluctant to stretch out on the firm racing surface.
