Race 1: Gross Wholesale Meats QTIS 3yo H'cap – 800m
 
WINNING KISS – Raced in restricted room in the early stages.
 
NO OPTION – Raced in restricted room in the early stages.  Hung out rounding the home turn.
 
LI’L PIPPA – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
CAMBOOYA ROCK – Began awkwardly and shifted in, bumping another runner.   Raced wide throughout.
 
DRUNK IN LOVE – Bumped at the start.
 
 
Race 2: Warwick Hotel Maiden H'cap – 1200m    
 
HAY LIFE – As there was no other rider available, apprentice G. Willoughby was permitted to ride the horse 1 kilogram over her declared riding weight.
 
HIDENA  MAN – Steadied from heels near the 700m.
 
BRAZZA MATAZZ – Hampered at the start.
 
LIGHT OF DE WORLD – Raced wide throughout.
 
TWO FOR THE ROAD – Bumped shortly after the start.
 
FINAL PERFORMANCE – Steadied from heels at the 800m and again at the 700m. Jockey Bradley Appo was reprimanded for use of his whip on a horse out of contention.
 
 
Race 3: Blue Chip Accounting Class 1 H'cap – 1200m   
 
HARD CHOICES – Steadied from heels near the 750m.
 
SHE’S A KICKER – Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
LIGHT PHILOU – Jumped out at the start, making contact with another runner.
 
SHENVAL – Bumped at the start.  Apprentice B. Stower could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance of her horse. A swab sample was taken from the horse.
 
HEZA CHUMLEY – Began awkwardly and raced wide throughout.
 
LA LA ROCK – Raced wide throughout.
 
CLOSE ENOUGH – Hung out during the middle stages of the event.
 
 
Race 4:  Warwick Vet Clinic Class 2 H'cap – 1350m
 
The start of this race was delayed to allow the broadcast of an interstate event.
 
SHEZA HOTTI – Improved onto the heels of another runner approaching the finish line and had to be steadied.
 
FELIX – Began awkwardly.
 
CODE ONE – Slow to begin. Following the disappointing performance of the horse, trainer J. Dann advised that he would now review the horse’s immediate racing future.  
 
THERE’S NEMO – Raced wide throughout.   Jockey M. O’Brien was reprimanded for using her whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m.
 
 
Race 5:  Warwick Credit Union Warwick Cup Open H'cap – 1500m
 
BELFLYER – Slow to begin.  Jockey R. McMahon was reprimanded for using his whip in consecutive strides prior to the 100m.
 
SPICE OF LIFE – Slow to begin.
 
I DO CARE – Slow to begin.
 
HEROIC ACTION – Apprentice J. Woodhouse was fined $100 for using his whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m.
 
ROCK ON IVY – Stewards questioned jockey R. Goltz in relation to the seemingly disappointing performance of the horse.  Jockey Goltz advised his mount travelled comfortably throughout the event, however when placed under pressure over the concluding stages failed to respond to his riding and proved disappointing.
 
 
Race 6:  Frasers Livestock Transport Newmarket Benchmark 65 H'cap – 1100m
 
MYMATESWIFTY – Presented to race with a tongue-tie, which was not part of its approved gear.  On the assurance of trainer Mr Michael Nolan that he had enacted a gear change to add that gear, the horse was permitted to race with a tongue-tie.  Stewards will make inquiries with the Trainers Service Centre in relation to this matter.
 
EXTRA SHOT – Jockey M. O’Brien was reprimanded for using her whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m.
 
REBEL ROVER - Jumped in the air at the start and lost ground.
 
MYMATESWIFTY – Slow to begin.
 
AMERICAL SPIRIT – Raced wide throughout and was steadied from heels near the 400m.
 
 
Race 7:   Hutchison Quarries P/L Ratings Band 0-60 H'cap – 2000m
 
COUSIN BEN – Began awkwardly and raced wide throughout.  Apprentice jockey B. Stower, rider of SO CHOOSY, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding, the careless riding being that after passing the winning post on the first occasion she permitted her mount to shift in when not sufficiently clear of COUSIN BEN and SCARLET POET, resulting in both runners being tightened for room, and apprentice Spinks being forced to take hold of COUSIN BEN to avoid the heels of SO CHOOSY.  Apprentice Stower was suspended from riding in races for a period of 9 days, to commence at midnight, 12 October and to expire at midnight, 21 October.
 
SCARLET POET – Tightened for room passing the winning post on the first occasion.  
 
OUR PLAYDOUGH – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
DINA’S DRAGON – Raced wide in the early and middle stages of the race.  Tightened for room and checked at the winning post on the first occasion when COUSIN BEN shifted out marginally after being taken out by SCARLET POET and SO CHOOSY, which shifted in when not completely clear.  Apprentice B. Stower, rider of SO CHOOSY, was issued with a reprimand.
 
ALFIE JUNIOR – Jumped in the air at the start and lost ground.
 
COUP D’ETAT – Stewards questioned jockey Bradley Appo regarding his riding from the 600m.  Jockey Appo explained that approaching the 600m, whilst riding his mount along, the horse commenced to weaken and for that reason he desisted from riding his horse out for the remainder of the race. Stewards, whilst accepting that COUP D’ETAT had commenced to weaken from the 600m, advised jockey Appo that, in their opinion, he had erred in failing to pressure the horse for longer than he did on this occasion.
