RACE 1: BENCHMARK 55 HDCP 1100 Metres

STRATAKLENA – when questioned regarding below market performance, rider I Coombes stated the mare travelled well to the 600 metres but when placed under pressure appeared to struggle in the heavy sand conditions and failed to run on from that point.

THEFORCEBEWITHYOU – raced wide throughout.

SCRATCHY – slow to begin.

FAMECHON BARONESS – slow to begin.


RACE 2: MAIDEN PLATE 1000 Metres

DAUNTING SHOW – on pulling up, App M Savva was dislodged and treated on the track before being transported to Kingaroy Hospital for observation. M Savva was advised she would require a medical certificate before her next race ride. Riding changes were made as per the raceday summary sheet. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance to be beaten in excess of 25 lengths, trainer C Kilshaw stated in his opinion DAUNTING SHOW did not handle the heavy sand conditions and indicated he would engage the services of a senior rider in the future. Stewards advised Mr Kilshaw the gelding would be required to complete one satisfactory trial prior to its next race start.

GOING BALLISTIC – rider reported at scale had a tendency to race greenly throughout the event.

SEALEGS LILLY – raced wide in early and middle stages of the event.

SEQUOIA MISS – hung out across heels rounding the 600 metre turn and lost ground.

HIDDEN ANGEL – rider reported at scale the filly hung for the majority of the event. Trainer G Richardson was advised a warning would be placed on the filly’s racing manners.

SUNDAYS DESTINY – raced greenly between runners near the 800 and had to be steadied.

RACE 3: OPEN HDCP 1000 Metres

The start of this event was delayed approximately fifteen minutes awaiting the arrival of a replacement ambulance.
GLENTHORN AVENUE – raced wide throughout the event.
BJORN – app R Payne was reminded of her obligations to ride her mounts out fully to the line.
HIZOU – rider reported at scale had a tendency to lay out for the majority of the event.

RACE 4: BENCHMARK 60 HDCP 850 Metres

JEPTOO – began awkwardly and lost ground.

I AM MCLOVIN – when questioned regarding below market performance, rider A Taylor stated in her opinion the gelding did not appreciate the heavy sand track conditions today.

WATASHAM – had to steady away from heels near the 300 metres when SECOND HAND LION shifted out.

SAVAGE ROCK – knuckled at the start and lost ground.

SECOND HAND LION – shifted out near the 300 metres and hampered another runner. Rider L McCoy was advised to exercise more care. Raced wide for the majority of the event.


RACE 5: CLASS B HDCP 1465 Metres

MR ROCKHARD – had to be steadied near the 900 metres when taken in by GLENROCK MAX.

ISIS SPINNER – hampered at the start when bumped by another runner.

BABES COPYRIGHT – had to be steadied off the heels of MR ROCKHARD when that runner was taken in by GLENROCK MAX.

YAMANNERS – jumped out at the start and bumped ISIS SPINNER.

LILLIAN ELIZA – knuckled over at the start and lost ground.

DESTINYS DESIRE – began awkwardly. Had to be checked at the 200 metres after improving onto the heels of YAMANNERS.

GLENROCK MAX – raced wide in the early stages of the event. Shifted in near the 900 metres hampering MR ROCKHARD and ISIS SPINNER which was following. In advising rider I Coombes to exercise more care, Steward took into account the racing manners of GLENROCK MAX at that point of the race.

EXCITED DREAM – bumped at the start and lost ground.
