Raced wide from the 800m. When questioned, Rdr explained although gelding races in a forward position, with the expected fast speed in the race, was asked to be neutral leaving the gates and settle where comfortable-said gelding was slow into stride and settled towards the rear but was racing keenly-advised near the 1200m, attempted to settle gelding, but got its head up on several occasions & for this reason it lost its position-added commenced run from 600m & gelding ran home well.
