Hung out badly throughout the event and as a result took no competitive part in the event from the 500m. Post-race vet examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer Bruce Hill was advised that the gelding must officially trial prior to racing again.

After being slow to begin was bumped by RAPID DUDE which jumped out at the start and lost ground. Over-raced in the early stages and had to be steadied from heels near the 800m when continuing to over-race. Laid out approaching the home turn.
