Slow to begin. When questioned regarding the performance, apprentice J Cornish reported that her mount travelled well throughout but when placed under pressure rounding the home turn, TAPA failed to respond, and she elected not to place TAPA under any further pressure. Trainer C Geran reported that they would now refrain from racing TAPA on sand surfaces. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
