Began awkwardly. Had to be steadied after passing the winning post on the first occasion when the pace slackened. Raced three wide from the 1000m. Had a tendency to hang out from the 600m to the home turn. Apprentice S. Eilbeck reported that the gelding was not suited by the tempo of today’s race. She added that when the pace slowed in the early stages she was obliged to restrain the gelding and from that point it raced ungenerously and was inclined to hang out and as a consequence was forced to race wide for the majority of the event.
