When questioned regarding the gelding’s disappointing performance, jockey L. Dittman explained that the horse only travelled fairly for the majority of the event and failed to quicken when asked and in his opinion was disappointing. Trainer L. Wheeler expressed some disappointment in the performance of the gelding today. He added that he did expect the gelding to position closer in the run, however after failing to do so and then failing to run on at the finish was of the opinion that the gelding may not have handled today’s racing surface.
