After being loaded, got a hind leg cast in the barriers, underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Slow to begin. Improved on to the heels of DUBAWI SNIPER approaching the 800m and had to be steadied. Upon returning to scale apprentice N. Fazackerley reported that the gelding did not feel comfortable in its action during the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Improved on to the heels of WILL’S BID near the 800m and when being steadied shifted out and raced wide without cover for the remainder of the event. Apprentice B. Nothdurft reported that the gelding hung out throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings, however, trainer T. Lunney’s stable representative was of the opinion that the gelding may not have appreciated today’s firm track.
