Began awkwardly. When asked to comment on the apparent improved performance trainer M J Dunne advised the horse was first up from a spell today and had won a recent trial, adding that in its previous preparation SILVER GALAXY had settled back in the field in races primarily due to poor barrier manners, adding that today he was confident the horse would be ridden more forward today. Stewards advised Mr Dunne in similar circumstances he would be expected to advise Stewards of any change of tactics where a horse’s racing pattern is varied. $3.70

Apprentice Lang advised instructions were for the horse to be ridden conservatively in the early stages, adding that she was also conscious that she did not want to be caught racing wide when imp$2.10

– After racing in a forward position weakened from the 400m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the off-hind leg. Co-Trainer R Tyrell was advised the horse would require a veterinary clearance prior to its next race or trial start. $12
