Slow into stride and then failed to maintain a position with the main body of the field and continued to lose ground and finished a distant last. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed it to be lame in the off hind leg and bled from the near nostril. Trainer G Tipping was advised that a veterinary clearance is required and the gelding must gallop over 1000m in the presence of Stewards prior to being permitted to trial or race again.
