Stewards questioned Apprentice D. Graham in relation to the horse’s seemingly disappointing performance. Apprentice Graham advised that it was the intention for the horse to be ridden in a forward position however when the horse failed to muster sufficient speed to cross the runners to her inside, she was forced to settle further back than anticipated. She added that the horse travelled comfortably throughout, however failed to improve into the race as she had anticipated from the 600m and proved disappointing. Stewards noted the explanation.
