Near the 1400m shifted in slightly. Rider reported his mount hung out throughout. Trainer advised he would have his veterinary surgeon carry out tests on gelding tomorrow morning and would report back to stewards.

Near 1400m steadied to avoid heels.Rider questioned re tactics - stated instructed to race outside leader however, after beginning awkwardly attempted to comply after checking mount near 1400m he was caught wide and allowed mount to stride forward and raced outside leader as per instructions. Added this manoeuvre made more difficult when pace increased leaving 1200m. Added forced to wide for some distance in back straight until clearing runners to inside near the 800m.
