He stated the gelding began awkwardly and was a little slow to muster speed and from the draw he was of the view he would end up racing 3 wide with cover behind DREAM WILDER and when that horse shifted in, as he did not want to be left 3 wide without cover, he allowed KENDALL’S DREAM to stride forward to improve which resulted in him racing further back than anticipated. He added that approaching the first turn rather than remain 3 wide behind KENDALL’S DREAM he elected to restrain and shift back
