Very difficult to settle early stages. Raced wide from 600m until rounding the turn in home straight. Rider re performance - originally intention to get cover however when no pace in early stages proved very difficult to settle and got its head up on a number of occasions. Then elected to go forward to the lead however continued to race keenly. Added when placed under pressure was disappointing and failed to respond in the straight. Trainer advised intention to spell colt and limit starts over shorter distances.Vetted - cut to off side cheek and lame in near fore leg.
