Raced keenly for a short distance near 1100m. Laid inwards over final 100m. Rider questioned re racing in a rearward position - stated originally his intention to race forward however, after jumping only fairly found himself racing three wide to the outside of FRESPANOL. As such rather than be caught wide he obtained cover following FRESPANOL, expecting that horse to maintain a forward position. Soon afterwards runners to the outside crossed FRESPANOL which resulted in his mount racing further back than he would have liked.
