Inconvenienced at the start. When questioned regarding the horse’s performance, J. Byrne stated that the gelding travelled comfortably and when placed under pressure from the 500m did not respond to his riding and was disappointing. Trainer K. Schweida was also disappointed and undertook to report to stewards in the coming days anything that may come to light to explain today’s performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
