Became awkward at the heels of KRUGER near the 500m and hung out despite the efforts of its rider, resulting in significant interference to SUPER KIDS. Hung out rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Trainer S. Kendrick was advised that the gelding must trial satisfactorily before racing again.

Bumped by RABBIT HUNTER near the 800m. Severely checked and lost significant ground at the 500m when tightened for room between RABBIT HUNTER, which hung out badly, and CASH ON FIRE and as a result trailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a minor laceration to the off hind leg and minor abrasions to the near foreleg.
