McDonald stated that he was concerned with the gelding as it had made an abnormal respiratory noise, however he felt he had ridden his mount out to the end of the race. Jockey McDonald was reminded of his obligations to ensure he rides his mounts out to the end of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
