When asked to explain the performance of the filly, jockey R. Fradd stated that after being awkwardly away and settling in a rearward position the filly failed, despite his urgings, to tack on to the back of the field in the early and middle stages, however, upon straightening commenced to make ground and when shifted wider in the home straight finished the race off quite well and in his opinion would be better suited to races further than that of
