Reared on several occasions in its barrier, was removed, examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start. Trainer D. Bougoure advised that the horse would be ridden more forward if circumstances permit. Despite the urgings of its rider the horse was unable to hold a more forward position in the early stages and settled in a midfield position. Commenced to overrace and threw its head in the air on a number of occasions when the pace steadied approaching the 1000m. Had to be restrained from heels approaching the 500m.
