Raced three wide without cover. Passing the 500m was bumped and lost ground when crowded for room by TRAMONTO, which shifted in. A. Mallyon, the rider of TRAMONTO, was reprimanded. J. Bayliss reported that after being caught wide for the majority of the event the gelding had quite a hard run and after receiving some interference approaching the home turn and in the home straight, commenced to weaken approaching the 200m. He added that as his mount had come to the end of its run he desisted from pressuring it over the final stages of the event. Vetted, no abnormalities.
