when asked to comment on the performance rider L Dittman stated the mare resented racing to the inside of other runners and was of the opinion VOILA is better suited coming to the outside when making its run. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare revealed no abnormality. Lost off hind plate in running.

When asked to comment on the performance rider A Mallyon stated OCCUPY over raced in the middle stages and failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure from the 500 metres. Trainer’s representative Mr M Eggleston advised that the blinkers would be removed and that the stable would continue with its current preparation. A post-race Veterinary examination of OCCUPY revealed lacerations to the off hind leg.
