Over-raced in the early stages and had to be eased near the 800m when steadied from the heels of VIOLATION. Rider G Cartwright (VIOLATION) was advised to provide greater clearance to her fellow riders in similar circumstances. Rider M Cahill could offer no tangible explanation to the gelding failing to respond to his riding in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to making an abnormal respiratory noise. Trainer K Fogden was advised that she must provide a veterinary clearance for the gelding together with the results of an endoscopic examination.
