V. Colgan reported that his mount, under its big weight, was unable to sprint when the pace quickened approaching the home turn and did not finish the race of as expected. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near foreleg. Connections were advised that the horse will require a veterinary clearance prior to being permitted to race again.
