J. Lloyd explained that just prior to straightening he was of the view that his mount may have been struck from behind. He said because of this he immediately became concerned with the horse’s action and commenced to ease the horse down. He added that whilst being eased it made an abnormal breathing noise. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
