Raced wide without cover throughout. Rider explained mount blundered near 100m and then had a tendency to shift out under riding and approaching the finishing line resented racing between runners.

Rider questioned re disappointing performance - stated had a nice trail behind SPRING TYCOON in early and middle stages however, when placed under pressure prior to home turn did not respond to his riding and was making an abnormal respiratory noise and immediately lost ground. Added eased gelding out of the event near 200m and near 100m shied and he became unbalanced. Veterinary surgeon advised that gelding previously undergone throat surgery and as such vet clearance, ECG and barrier trial required.
