Gollan stated that the gelding had been disappointing at its previous start, however, today’s drop down in class and back with its regular rider may have been contributing factors for its improved performance. The veterinary surgeon reported that the gelding returned to the enclosure with an abrasion on the near hind hock, consistent with being galloped on.
